Study Objective:
To show the feasibility and technique used to perform a right ovarian cystectomy via robot-assisted vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (vNOTES) using the da Vinci single-port (SP) robotic platform.
Design:
Single-patient video case report.
Setting:
Single academic institution.
Interventions:
We demonstrate the use of the da Vinci SP robotic platform performing vNOTES on a right ovarian cyst. This cyst was adherent to the right upper pelvic brim, and we show the steps in performing adhesiolysis and isolation of the cyst before performing a cystectomy. This video highlights the versatility of the da Vinci SP with 3 articulating instruments, a high-definition angulating camera, a telescoping arm feature, and SP docking globe for specimen placement, in addition to the established benefits of robotic surgery.
Conclusion:
This video highlights the feasibility and strategies used to perform an ovarian cystectomy via robot-assisted vNOTES using the da Vinci SP robotic platform.
