Abstract:
This paper reports a case of ectopic pregnancy in the liver successfully treated with laparoscopic resection. A 34-year-old female patient presented with amenorrhea, irregular vaginal bleeding, positive pregnancy test, right hypochondrial pain, elevated serum human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), and no intrauterine pregnancy detected by transvaginal ultrasound. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed a cystic lesion in the hepatic-renal fossa. A multidisciplinary team performed laparoscopic resection of the lesion while preserving liver parenchyma. This case demonstrates that laparoscopic surgery can be safely applied in selected patients with superficial, resectable ectopic liver pregnancies.
