Calcium channel blockers are a common cause of poisoning and are associated with high mortality in affected patients. Treatment is complex. Although poorly researched, high-dose insulin euglycaemic therapy (HIET) appears to be an effective treatment. In this case report, we review a patient with a severe calcium channel blocker overdose who was successfully treated with HIET.
