The aberrant mitral chordae can be attached to various parts of the left ventricular outflow tract, even to the subaortic membrane. Echocardiography makes a major contribution to the detection of the aberrant mitral chordae, and their attachment to the left ventricular region should be considered in echocardiographic assessment.
