Improvement in Antimicrobial Stewardship for Orthopaedics Procedures: A NSQIP Quality-Improvement Project

Reducing postoperative antibiotic duration in pediatric orthopaedic surgery significantly improved antibiotic stewardship. This initiative achieved an 48.0% increase in patients receiving less than 24 hours of antibiotics, without raising infection rates.
