Background:

Digital health technologies are increasingly integrated into healthcare, impacting nursing practice.
New graduate nurses (NGNs) face significant changes during their transition to practice.
The experiences of NGNs with digital health technologies during this transition are not well understood.

Purpose of the Study:

To explore and describe the existing literature on new graduate nurses and digital health technologies.
To address the gap in understanding the integration of digital health into the early careers of nurses.
To provide context for the modern transition to practice experience for NGNs.

Main Methods:

A scoping review following Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) guidelines.
Searches of CINAHL, MEDLINE, Embase, and ERIC databases for literature published between 2020 and 2026.
Inclusion of peer-reviewed primary research involving NGNs (0-12 months experience) and clinical use of digital health technologies.

Main Results:

The review will synthesize findings on NGNs' experiences with digital health technologies.
Identified themes will highlight challenges and facilitators in adopting new technologies.
The literature landscape regarding NGNs and digital health will be mapped.

Conclusions:

Findings will be crucial for enhancing nursing curricula and transition-to-practice policies.
The review aims to support the development of digital health competence in NGNs.
Results will contribute to improving patient care through effective use of digital health technologies.
