Low dose thirdhand smoke exposure enhances platelet functional responses in mice

Thirdhand smoke (THS) exposure, even at low doses, significantly increases thrombosis risk. This occurs by promoting a hyperactive platelet phenotype, involving the toxicant NNK, and impacting platelet aggregation and thrombus formation.
