None:
Bisazolidine (BD) to alleviate constipation by stimulating intestinal nerves and increasing the secretion of water and electrolytes. However, it is prone to cause serious side effects, such as electrolyte imbalance and drug dependence. Bifidobacterium, can alleviate constipation from the root through a series of biological cascade reactions, such as "regulating the flora, promoting acid production, softening feces, and anti-inflammatory repair". But Bifidobacterium has the characteristic of slow onset and mild action, which can't immediately alleviate constipation. Moreover, Bifidobacterium are susceptible to the adverse physiological environment during oral delivery, leading to a reduce in their bioavailability. To effectively relieve constipation and maintain the biological functions of intestinal tissues. In this study, polydopamine (PDA) shell was constructed to encapsulation single Bifidobacterium (PDA@Bif) by taking advantage of the oxidation polymerization property of dopamine. The PDA shell existing on the surface of PDA@Bif not only maintain the biological activity of Bifidobacterium, but also the adhesive property of PDA shell can be used to load BD. Animal experiments confirmed that BD&PDA@Bif can promote the transport of intestinal contents through multi-target regulation, such as repairing the intestinal mucosal barrier, restoring intestinal microecological homeostasis, altering the nature of feces, thereby effectively alleviating constipation.
