Abstract:
This article describes the use of printed base plates with adjustable height for digital data acquisition procedures including virtual definitive casts, occlusal vertical dimension, tooth position, and mandibular motion. The described technique facilitates virtual patient integration for diagnostic waxing and implant planning procedures, implant placement, and immediate interim restoration placement. This technique reduces data acquisition chair time and facilitates the digitizing procedures by combining conventional and digital methods.
