Abstract:
Family caregivers play a crucial role in supporting dependent relatives to remain at home, regardless of the underlying cause of their loss of autonomy. If healthcare professionals had a deeper understanding of the challenges involved in this situation, they could better prevent its physical, psychological, and social repercussions.
