Abstract:
This article has been retracted: please see Elsevier Policy on Article Withdrawal (https://www.elsevier.com/about/policies/article-withdrawal). This article has been retracted at the request of the Editor-in-Chief. Following concerns raised post-publication by a reader, an investigation was conducted into an apparent chronological inconsistency in the article. Specifically, the article reported a prospective clinical implementation of a SOFA-2 trajectory-guided alert protocol during 2023-2024, although the SOFA-2 score itself was published only later. The authors were asked to provide clarification and supporting information regarding the version of the score used during the reported implementation period and its relationship to the later published SOFA-2 score. The information provided did not satisfactorily resolve these concerns. The Editors have lost confidence in the results and conclusions of the article and have determined it should be retracted. The authors disagree with the retraction and dispute the grounds for it.
