A novel technique of atrial septal defect closure using the pivoting occluder

Left atrial disk prolapse through the atrial septal defect (ASD) into the right atrium is a common challenge during ASD device closure. We describe a novel closure technique for large secundum ASDs, leveraging the pivoting mechanism in newer devices. This innovative approach optimizes device alignment with the interatrial septum while reducing the risk of disk prolapse.
