Association Between Real-Time Alerts in Electronic Prescribing Systems and Potentially Inappropriate Prescribing

A national electronic alert system significantly reduced potentially inappropriate medication (PIM) prescribing in older adults in Iran. This real-time clinical decision support system (CDSS) shows promise for improving medication safety in resource-limited settings.
