The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) undergoes dynamic morphological changes during cellular stress and disease, yet specific staining and nanoscale observation are challenging. Here, we report a highly bright, biocompatible, and nontoxic fluorescent Zn-complex for super-resolution imaging of the ER. Super-resolution radial fluctuation microscopy (SRRF) resolved the smallest tubular diameter of the ER (110 nm) and quantified stress-induced morphological remodeling.
