[A case of corneal reshaping therapy for correction of myopia combined with presbyopia]

A 42-year-old female patient with bilateral myopia for over 30 years and progressive near vision blur for 6 months presented to Ningbo Eye Hospital. Based on the binocular refractive status and visual function examination results, she was diagnosed with bilateral myopia combined with presbyopia. To achieve simultaneous clear distance and near vision, a micro-monovision approach was adopted, and toric orthokeratology lenses with a four-zone design were fitted. Visual quality was improved by adjusting the back optic zone diameter of the lenses, resulting in satisfactory correction outcomes. This case suggests that corneal reshaping therapy for correcting myopia combined with presbyopia offers unique advantages and is expected to become one of the viable correction methods.
