Dual photoredox and palladium catalysis-enabled cyclization reactions

Abstract:
Over the past decades, light-promoted organic reactions have established themselves as powerful tools in synthetic chemistry. Notably, the integration of photocatalysis with palladium catalysis has demonstrated significant potential in enabling diverse cyclization reactions. Based on the differences in the mechanisms of photoinduced Pd catalysis, this review briefly summarizes the latest research advances in this rapidly developing field, focusing on three key aspects: mechanistic investigations, substrate scope expansion, and catalytic system optimization.
