Traceable gene delivery using minimalistic far-red fluorescent pseudodendrimers

Abstract:
We report a minimalistic, intrinsically far-red fluorescent pseudodendrimer (PD) platform for efficient and traceable gene delivery. The arginine-functionalized PD (TGP 41) condenses DNA to form stable nanocondensates (NCs). When formulated with low concentrations of Ca2+, TGP 41 NCs achieve high transfection efficiency while enabling fluorescence tracking, an advantage over Lipofectamine 3000. This biocompatible PD represents a versatile fluorescence-traceable delivery platform for next generation nucleic acid theranostics.
