Abstract:
Infantile hemangiomas (IHs) are benign vascular tumors of childhood, with ulceration being the most common complication. This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluated whether ulceration healing time differs between β-blocker monotherapy and combination β-blocker plus laser therapy across nine included studies. Although combination therapy suggested faster healing, the results were not statistically significant, and the available observational data were highly heterogeneous. This variability limits the ability to draw definitive conclusions regarding optimal management and underscores the need for well-designed prospective studies to determine the most effective treatment strategies.
