Summary

Belotero® Volume (CPM-V) and Belotero® Volume Lidocaine (CPM-V+) effectively enhanced chin volume and aesthetics in a real-world study. Both treatments demonstrated good safety profiles with no new concerns identified.

Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of CPM-V and CPM-V+ for chin augmentation.
  • Assess changes in chin volume, facial angles, aesthetic improvement, and patient satisfaction.

Main Methods:

  • Prospective, open-label, randomized study in Germany.
  • Participants received either CPM-V (n=58) or CPM-V+ (n=63) with optional touch-up.
  • Primary endpoint: change in chin volume at 12/16 weeks measured by 3D facial imaging.

Conclusions:

  • CPM-V and CPM-V+ are effective for chin augmentation in aesthetic practice.
  • No new safety concerns were identified during the study.
  • Both formulations offer a favorable risk-benefit profile for chin augmentation.
