Main Methods:

  • A multicenter, randomized clinical trial involving adults aged 40-79 years scheduled for colonoscopy.
  • Participants were randomized to either CAD-assisted colonoscopy or standard high-definition colonoscopy.

Conclusions:

  • CAD-assisted colonoscopy is noninferior to standard colonoscopy for adenoma detection.
  • CAD demonstrates significant benefits in adenoma detection and surveillance recommendations for FIT-positive patients.
  • Further research is needed to determine CAD's role in reducing interval colorectal cancer.
