Abstract
None:
There are few data on outcomes of bone conduction implant outcomes in low-resource settings, where a potentially higher risk of infection means that percutaneous implants may have different outcomes. Of the first five consecutive percutaneous bone implants performed in our hospital in Cambodia, three have failed, leading to our centre abandoning this procedure. Percutaneous implantation should be undertaken with caution in low-resource settings, but more data are needed.
