Abstract:
We reported herein a tungsten-catalyzed decarboxylative C(sp3)-O bond formation reaction under mild, base-free conditions with irradiation. This transformation employs readily available carboxylic acids as substrates and 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-1-oxyl (TEMPO) as oxygenation reagent. The protocol exhibits a broad substrate scope and has been successfully applied to the late-stage functionalization of bioactive molecules.
