We report the case of a 49-year-old man presenting with a 5-month history of an ulcerated frontal plaque, initially interpreted as granulomatous dermatitis. Histopathological re-evaluation, guided by a history of exposure in an endemic area, revealed features consistent with cutaneous leishmaniasis. This case highlights the importance of histopathological analysis in non-endemic settings, as well as key points in the differential diagnosis of granulomatous lesions.
