Continuously improving the moisture-sensitive properties of materials is the core of the development of polymer humidity sensor technology. In this study, a cationic polymer humidity-sensitive material (PDH) with fast response and stability was prepared by copolymerizing [2-(methacryloyloxy)ethyl]trimethylammonium chloride and hydroxyethyl methacrylate. The results show that the prepared PDH humidity sensor achieves a sensitivity of 8.23 kΩ/%RH within the humidity range of 30-95%RH, with a hysteresis of only 2.75%RH and a linearity of R2 > 0.98. In the humidity range of 11-95%RH, the response time is only 1 s. Moreover, under high humidity conditions and within a temperature range of 10-90°C, the device exhibits excellent thermal stability and long-term stability, with a stable monitoring duration exceeding 18 days. This study provides an important reference for the development of novel humidity-sensitive devices with fast response, excellent temperature resistance, and high stability.
