When a home dialysis modality is chosen, regardless of whether peritoneal dialysis or home hemodialysis, there is a distinct relationship between the dialysis prescription and patient outcomes. These outcomes influence individual quality of life and overall patient retention, or cumulative time on home dialysis therapy. This article explores that intricate relationship and discusses the interplay of factors directly proportional to home therapy patient success.
