The literature supports that the use of perioperative ultrasound improves clinical outcomes. Significant work has been done in ultrasound pedagogy. Ultrasound education programs have been shown to improve participants' knowledge and skills. However, there is a discrepancy between the emphasis on ultrasound education and real-world implementation. This is due to numerous hurdles, including time constraints, scheduling difficulty, ensuring user competency, medicolegal concerns, and more. The authors describe the implementation of a program that leverages two software programs to ensure residents are taught ultrasound to national standards while streamlining ultrasound workflow, including image acquisition, feedback, reporting, archiving, and billing.
