Abstract:
Biomolecular condensate and artificial cell research, though distinct in origin, share a focus on studying and mimicking (sub)cellular compartments. Identifying converging frontiers offers opportunities to advance both fields. Possibilities arise in areas where the condensate structure-function relationship is most prevalent. This includes interfaces, active systems, multiphases, aging, and applying in silico tools. This perspective aims to provide insight in how recent developments can drive convergence of the fields.
