MicroRNA-34a (miR-34a) targets mitochondrial tumor suppressor 1 (MTUS1) to regulate cardiac fibrosis and improve cardiac function in rats. This study reveals the miR-34a-MTUS1 axis as a key player in cardiac fibrotic disease progression.
