[Dengue fever : outpatient and inpatient management]

Dengue, a viral infection transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes, is associated with increasing global morbidity. In Europe, the spread of the tiger mosquito raises the epidemic risk. In Switzerland, no autochthonous cases have been reported to date, but imported cases are frequent, requiring vigilance and preventive measures. A Switzerland-adapted standard of practice aimed at early diagnosis is proposed, structured clinical follow-up and management, in accordance with the latest recommendations of the World Health Organization.
