Abstract:
An efficient copper-catalyzed asymmetric protoboration of α-substituted tert-butyl acrylates has been developed, providing β-borylated propionate products in good yields and high enantioselectivities. The tert-butyl ester group is essential for achieving high enantioselectivity. This methodology has been successfully scaled up to the one-gram level and applied to diverse stereoselective derivatizations.
