Collaboration Between Nursing and Music Therapy

Music therapy, an established health profession guided by evidence-based research, uses music to address patients' biopsychosocial needs. Nursing staff are vital in the delivery of music therapy services for their patients. A limited body of research exists about nurse's perceptions and attitudes toward music therapy. Professional development specialists can help guide nurses in collaborating with music therapists.
