MicroRNA-371a-3p (miR-371a-3p) is downregulated in postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) and predicts its occurrence. Upregulating miR-371a-3p alleviates cognitive impairment by targeting FKBP5, suggesting a therapeutic strategy for POCD.
