Association of Vitamin D Receptor (VDR) Gene Polymorphisms with Osteoporotic Vertebral Fracture Risk: A Case-Control

The ApaI polymorphism in the vitamin D receptor (VDR) gene may protect against osteoporotic vertebral fractures. Other VDR gene variants (FokI, BsmI, TaqI) showed no significant association with fracture risk in this study.
