Congenital hemidysplasia with ichthyosiform erythroderma and limb defects (CHILD) syndrome, a rare X-linked disorder, can present bilaterally. A novel NSDHL mutation was identified, and topical cholesterol-lovastatin cream successfully treated skin lesions.
