Background:

Community health nurses (CHN) are essential for primary and preventive care, especially in rural and underserved regions.
Nurse job satisfaction is a critical factor for workforce retention, care quality, and professional well-being.

Purpose of the Study:

To systematically review and identify factors influencing the job satisfaction of community health nurses.

Main Methods:

A mixed-method systematic review adhering to PRISMA-2020 guidelines.
Searched CINAHL, Medline, and PROQUEST databases (2019-2025).
Data synthesized using a convergent synthesis approach.

Main Results:

Thirteen studies identified four key themes: organizational/work environment, financial/mentorship support, role/recognition/professional development, and workload/system constraints.
Inadequate organizational support, limited professional growth, and heavy workloads were linked to decreased job satisfaction.

Conclusions:

Enhancing community health nurse job satisfaction requires supportive work environments, fair compensation, and professional development opportunities.
Addressing these factors is vital for nurse retention and maintaining high-quality community-based healthcare services.
