KIAA1199 aggravates sepsis-induced lung injury by promoting complement activation

KIAA1199 protein levels increase in sepsis patients and worsen acute lung injury (ALI) in mice. Reducing KIAA1199 improves survival by inhibiting complement activation, suggesting it as a therapeutic target for sepsis-induced ALI.
