Widespread Muscle Loss in Autoimmune Hepatitis and Its Adverse Prognostic Impact

Sarcopenia, indicated by low psoas muscle mass index (PMI), is more common in patients with autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) than primary biliary cholangitis (PBC). Low PMI is linked to poorer survival in AIH patients, suggesting its use in risk stratification.
