Objectives:
To examine the relevance of a Climate-Integrated Humanitarian Coordination Model with emphasis on climate-water integration, anticipatory action, governance complexity, and localization.
Study Design:
Narrative literature review with structured search criteria.
Methods:
A structured narrative review of peer-reviewed and grey literature (2010-2024) was conducted to assess whether and how humanitarian coordination systems integrate climate-sensitive public health risk.
Results:
Integrating climate and water stress indicators into humanitarian planning, adopting context-responsive coordination models, and institutionalizing local participation presents a pragmatic and necessary evolution of current coordination structures.
Conclusions:
The proposed reforms have the potential to strengthen disease surveillance, outbreak preparedness, and health service continuity in climate-affected crisis settings.
