Abstract:
A highly efficient and low-cost microwave-assisted adsorption technology for simultaneous desulfurization and denitrification, which involves the activation of steel slag through acid leaching and calcination followed by loading onto activated coke via mechanical ball milling, in which the T80% and T60% values for denitrification efficiency were 37.64 min and 94.55 min, respectively, and the T95% and T85% values for desulfurization efficiency were 47.88 min and 95.38 min, respectively, was successfully developed. This outstanding performance originates from the unique hierarchical synergy within the adsorbent: the activated coke provides a well-developed porous structure for pollutant enrichment, Fe3O4 acts simultaneously as a catalytic center and thermal source under microwave irradiation, enabling deep oxidation of pollutants through dual pathways involving both lattice oxygen and activated oxygen species, and the regenerated calcium-based components ensure stable fixation of the oxidized products in the form of calcium sulfate and calcium nitrate. This study further reveals a competitive‒synergistic dynamic equilibrium mechanism during the reaction process, providing a new theoretical foundation and experimental basis for the development of multipollutant cooperative control technologies. This research not only achieves the resource utilization of solid waste but also offers innovative insights for developing high-efficiency flue gas purification materials.
