First-episode psychosis (FEP) is linked to higher interleukin-10 (IL-10) and lower interleukin-6 (IL-6) levels, suggesting cytokine imbalance in FEP. This study found increased IL-10 and decreased IL-6 in FEP patients compared to controls.

- Reduced body weight in FEP patients might suggest underlying constitutional or metabolic predispositions.
