A method is introduced for calculating the average end-to-end length, R0, of polymers in complex-Langevin field-theoretic simulations (CL-FTSs). The statistical segment length, a, is then obtained by extrapolating R0 to the long-chain limit. Because a has not been available to previous CL-FTSs, results have been expressed in terms of the bare statistical segment length, ab, of an isolated polymer, which introduces inaccuracies even though the simulation method itself is inherently exact. In a few cases, a has been estimated by a weak-field approximation, but its accuracy remains uncertain. This study focuses on the fluctuation correction, a - ab, for compressible melts of discrete Gaussian chains with finite-range interactions and compares it to the weak-field approximation. The approximation underestimates the fluctuation correction by up to 20%, but this is not particularly serious, given that the correction itself is a small effect. Notably, our technique for evaluating R0 can be generalized to any single-chain observable, which allows access to all the intramolecular correlations.

¹H NMR: Long-Range Coupling
In alkenes, spin information is communicated via σ–π overlap, as seen in allylic (four-bond) and homoallylic (five-bond) couplings. These coupling interactions are stronger when the σ bond is parallel to the alkene π orbitals.
Crystal Field Theory - Octahedral Complexes
To explain the observed behavior of transition metal complexes (such as colors), a model involving electrostatic interactions between the electrons from the ligands and the electrons in the unhybridized d orbitals of the central metal atom has been developed. This electrostatic model is crystal field theory (CFT). It helps to understand, interpret, and predict the colors, magnetic behavior, and some structures of coordination compounds of transition metals.
