Abstract:
This literature review focuses on modern methods of drug delivery to the inner ear, which aim to enhance treatment effectiveness and reduce the risk of side effects. It examines systemic, transtympanic, and intracochlear routes of administration, along with their advantages and disadvantages. The review discusses new technologies such as hydrogels and nanoparticles that enable prolonged and targeted delivery of medications without the need for surgical intervention. Additionally, biophysical methods that allow non-invasive and highly precise drug delivery are presented.
