Hippocampal Total, Subregion, and Subfield Volume Alterations in Late-Life Depression

Late-life depression (LLD) is associated with smaller hippocampal volumes, particularly in currently depressed individuals. This study found no evidence of accelerated brain aging in LLD patients.
