Summary
Longer erbium, chromium: yttrium, scandium, gallium, garnet (Er,Cr:YSGG) laser application for gutta-percha removal significantly increases root temperature. To prevent tissue damage, Er,Cr:YSGG laser use for gutta-percha removal should not exceed 5-8 minutes.

- Further clinical studies are needed to validate these findings and establish best practices for laser-assisted root canal procedures.
