Background:

Disaster response poses significant challenges to nursing competence.
Virtual reality simulation (VRS) presents innovative opportunities for disaster nursing education and training.

Purpose of the Study:

To explore the utilization and effectiveness of virtual reality simulations in disaster nursing education and training.

Main Methods:

A comprehensive scoping review was conducted using the Arksey and O'Malley framework, extended by Levac.
Systematic searches of multiple databases (PubMed, Embase, CINAHL, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, CNKI, Wanfang, CBM) were performed up to August 30, 2024.
Data extraction and screening were independently performed by two researchers, adhering to PRISMA-ScR guidelines.
