The case highlights the need to consider aspergillosis in patients with cryptococcal infections and unexplained respiratory symptoms, as well as in smear-negative pulmonary tuberculosis. When standard triazoles are unavailable, novel oral amphotericin B (MAT2203) successfully treated both invasive pulmonary aspergillosis and cryptococcosis in this case of coinfection, warranting further evaluation.
