All-inside anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction using hamstring autograft shows promising short-term results. This minimally invasive technique effectively restores knee stability and function in patients with complete ACL tears.

  • All patients underwent arthroscopically assisted all-inside ACL reconstruction with hamstring autograft.
  • Pre-operative and 1, 3, 6-month post-operative assessments included clinical exams and functional scores (Lysholm-Tegner, IKDC, VAS).
  • Main Results:

    • The majority of patients were young males (18-29 years), with road traffic accidents being the most common injury cause.
    • Graft size averaged 6-6.5 cm length and 8 mm diameter.
    • Post-operatively, all patients demonstrated stable knees (negative Lachman, anterior drawer, pivot shift tests) and achieved excellent/good functional scores (Lysholm-Tegner, IKDC).

    Conclusions:

    • All-inside ACL reconstruction with hamstring autograft yields favorable short-term functional outcomes.
    • The technique effectively restores knee stability in patients with complete ACL tears.
    • This minimally invasive approach offers a viable option for ACL reconstruction.
