Sequential bilateral cochlear implantation (BiCI) in children with cochlear nerve deficiency (CND) leads to significant long-term auditory and speech improvements. Some children even show enhanced speech perception with bilateral devices, suggesting BiCI is a viable option for selected CND patients.
