  • Pain was assessed using the Defense and Veterans Pain Rating Scale (DVPRS), and function using the Revised Foot Function Index-Revised (FFI-R).

    Conclusions:

    • Electroacupuncture combined with exercise is an effective adjunctive treatment for plantar fasciopathy, offering superior short- and long-term pain relief and functional improvement.
    • This combination therapy represents a valuable addition to the management of plantar fasciopathy in outpatient settings.
    • The findings support acupuncture as an important option for common musculoskeletal conditions.
