Acid-sensing ion channels 1a (ASIC1a) play a key role in neuroinflammation after traumatic brain injury (TBI). Inhibiting ASIC1a reduces brain swelling and improves outcomes by mitigating neuronal pyroptosis via the NF-κB/NLRP3 pathway.
